The new collection of Birthstone Petite figures from Royal Doulton, designed by renowned artist Neil Faulkner, once again draws upon the ancient tradition of different birthstones associated with each month of the year. This goes back in history to the Old Testament and the breastplate of the prophet Aaron which was embellished with 12 precious stones. The collection compromises of 12 variations on one beautifully crafted and hand painted fine bone china figure whose natural elegance is depicted in her flowing soft grey and cream gown with a delicately patterned skirt.
